The artist's first solo exhibition was in the New Dimensions Gallery, in the Scottsdale Cultural Arts Center, what is now, the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art. The Museum has two of the works from this exhibit in their permanent collection. The series is titled after Henri Louis Bergson's idea of the élan vital, from his book, Creative Evolution.
